Abstract | Intisari
Airplanes are an object that can fly in space, both heavier than air and lighter than air. Aircraft can fly becauseit is affected by air. Along with the development of time, technology and science in the aviation world have been very advanced. Aircraft function to ensure the operation of the aircraft. If the aircraft maintenance is not carried out in accordance with the applicable procedures, it will compromise the safety of the flight. The purpose of this research is to know the problems that occur in the field of aviation, one of which is the occurrence of low oil pressure in lycoming engine O-320. In conducting maintenance to ensure safety, security and comfort in the operation of airplanes. The data used in this study are secondary data used to support information obtained from primary data sources namely from library study materials, literature, previous research, books, and documents from companies, among others; Aircraft Maintenance Manual Lycoming O-320 Engine, Maintenance Manual Lycoming O-320 Engine. The results of the study showed that the cause of low oil pressure in lycomig engine O-320 is caused by malfuction in oil level components or oil pressure tube and there is damage to the relief valve such as physical damage sections spring that has been weak or tension reduced. Oil supply does not work normally and results in low oil pressure.
