Abstract | Intisari

The aircraft is a technological advancement that is extraordinary for the world. By airplane, access to relations between countries in the world is easier. The purpose of this study is to determine the problems that occur in the field of aviation, one of which is the escape slide inflate for more than 10 seconds on a Boeing 737-500. In carrying out maintenance to ensure safety and security for evacuation pessenger in an emergency. The research method used is a qualitative method in the form of existing problems, data sources are taken directly from literature studies, literature, previous research, books, and documents from companies. The step in this research is to analyze the occurrence of more than 10 seconds on the escape slide to find out the problems associated with the inflatable escape slide on the Boeing 737-500. The results showed that the factors causing inflate more than 10 seconds in the emergency escape slide were caused by broken inflatable members, low pressure on the air bottle and incorrect packing when repairing the escape slide. So that the deployment on the escape slide is not normal and results in inflate of more than 10 seconds.
