Abstract | Intisari
Knowing which aircraft absolutely requires optimal maintenance, with one of the "airworthiness" missions, namely the starter motor contained in the aircraft auxiliary power unit which functions as the starter auxiliary power unit. Handling the starter motor in the auxiliary power unit GTC85 129 on the Boeing 737 - 300 series aims to analyze the repair of damaged components in the system so that it can work properly when the aircraft is operating (preventive maintenance) in accordance with CASR 43. This research is a qualitative research, the discussion is carried out in the form of a description, namely an explanation using clear language and sentences (the data was analyzed without using statistical techniques or numbers). The process of compiling data was carried out systematically obtained from interviews, field notes, and documentation by classifying things that are considered important by discussing and making conclusions, so that they are easily understood by researchers and readers. The APU engine will stop operating due to the movement of the supporting equipment (customer furnished) stop switch, the movement of the stop switch will stop the fuel selenoid valve from working. When the solenoid valve is not active, the fuel supply to the combustion chamber stops causing the engine to stop operating. APU on an airplane functions to provide electrical and pneumatic flow to an airplane while it is on the ground or while it is on a flight. APU works using the APU Control Unit and FADEC (Full Authority Digital Electrical Control). The starter motor was continues to rotate when the APU speed is greater than 50%, it has two possibilities, namely the starter motor problem because the brush starter is used up, it needs to be repaired and replaced and the starter relay R5 problem is stated in the inspection because there is no ground, so it needs a replacemen
