Abstract | Intisari
Wing-in-ground are designed specifically to take off and land on the surface of the water to avoid the need for a runway and are only able to fly low above the water surface with wingspan height. In Indonesia alone the winged ship is used as an intercity transportation service, including among the coastal cities on the north coast of the island of Java. Winged ships that embrace the WIG system (wing-in-ground) with technology that is not too complicated. This research uses qualitative method obtain by existing problems, data sources are taken directly from literature, previous research, the internet, and books that support the discussion of research. The purpose of this research is to determine the design comparison, determine specifications, and determine the advantages and disadvantages of the Aquaglide-5 and Airfish-8 designs. The results of this study are in the form of a comparative design of a winged ship between Aquaglide-5 and Airfish-8. The difference between the two winged ships lies in the amount of capacity that can be transported.
