Abstract | Intisari

The Boeing 737-NG is a short to medium-range commercial passenger aircraft that can accommodate more passengers, in contrast to the previous series. This aircraft is equipped with an IDG (Integrated Drive Generator) system that is one package with CSD without being separated, unlike the previous series. On the Boeing 737-NG aircraft there is an IDG problem, namely the Differential Pressure Indicator (DPI) component that has pop-out. This occurs due to blockage in the filter caused by particles carried by the oil flow and enter the filter which makes the filter clogged so that the performance of the CSD does not function stable/normally and this becomes a fatal problem for the effect of IDG work. The purpose of this paper is to analyze the causes that make the filter clogged and look for damaged components in the IDG that cause the Pop Out, then find ways to prevent and how to fix if the same problem occurs. This study uses an descriptive method by collecting various sources from the internet, journals, related articles according to the problems raised by the author as well as taking sources from the field where the research is carried out. The factor that causes pop out on the Differential Pressure Indicator (DPI) is due to blockage in the filter, which is caused by particles carried by the oil flow and makes the filter clogged. Countermeasures that can be done if a pop out occurs on the Differential Pressure Indicator (DPI) is by replacing the filter, pressing the pin in, and crossing out the DPI decal and replacing several components that produce particles due to friction between the gears, causing the filter to become clogged.
