Abstract | Intisari
Aircraft maintenance needs to be carried out to maintain the condition of an airplane so that it is more airworthy so as to provide safe and comfortable flight operations for service users and can meet the criteria in the aviation world, namely "zero accident". The purpose of this study is to find out how to operate the Electric motor driven pump (EMDP), to know the removal and installation of the Electric motor driven pump (EMDP), and to know how to test the Electric motor driven pump (EMDP) on the Boeing 737-800NG. Airplanes that absolutely require optimal maintenance, with one "safety" mission, one of which is the Electric Driven Pump (EMDP) on the aircraft that functions as a hydraulic pump. To support this program, prevention and handling of damage to the Electric motor driven pump (EMDP) must be carried out. In carrying out maintenance to ensure safety, security, and comfort in operating aircraft. This research is a descriptive study with a qualitative approach, the data used in this study are primary data and secondary data. The results show that several factors have been found that cause the Electric Driven Pump (EMDP) to malfunction, namely: the electric current is cut off during operation, the overheat indicator light is on, the EMDP stops and heats up, and the EMDP experiences aeration. Efforts to handle the use of EMDP components by replacing the components. Keywords : Pump, Use, Electric Motor Driven Pump
