Abstract | Intisari

Natural science has explained that the farther from the ground, the lower the air pressure surrounding the earth. When the plane is still on the ground, the air pressure inside the cabin is still the same as the air pressure outside the plane. Without pressurization we will not get enough oxygen in the airplane cabin. Pressurization is done by applying pressure in the cabin using air produced from the compressor in the engine by adjusting how much "pressure" is through the outflow valve opening and closing in the fuselage. The automatic outflow control valve is made with the purpose and function to keep the pressure inside the aircraft cabin stable at 7.8 psi. automatic flow control valve is installed on the bottom of the aircraft. The technique used in this study uses the Failure Mode Effect Analysis technique. FMEA is a systematic approach that applies a tabular method. Failure Mode Effect Analysis technique that will provide results about failures and possible effects by providing the correct maintenance solution. The function of the Automatic Flow Control Valve on the Boeing 737-200 is to stabilize air pressure, especially in the passenger cabin, control cabin, electronic compartments, cargo compartments, and lower nose compartments. The Automatic Flow Control Valve is electrically operated and electronically controlled. Automatic Flow Control Valve consists of two systems, namely electrical system and mechanical system, each of which has a potential failure. Keywords : Pressure, FMEA, Automatic Flow Control Valve
