Abstract | Intisari

This study aims to find out whether there is an influence of public perception on the news of the Lion Air JT-610 accident that occurred on October 29, 2018 and crashed in the waters of Karawang, West Java. Killing a total of 189 people, does it affect people's interest in using Lion Air airline. The benefit of this research is to find out whether the public perception of the Lion Air JT-610 plane crash has an effect on the interest in using the Lion Air airline. This study uses a quantitative method. It was conducted at Adi Soemarmo airport, Solo. The data obtained are primary data taken by distributing online-based questionnaires to 100 respondents. Data analysis techniques are simple Lilier regression and T test (Bivariant). From the results of the research that has been done, there is no significant effect of reducing interest in using Lion Air airline services in the community with the news of the Lion Air JT-610 Boeing 737-8 MAX airline accident.
