Abstract | Intisari

The Covid-19 pandemic is a disease caused by the Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome Coronavirus-2 (SARS-CoV-2) that can lead to respiratory tract infections to death. In the world of aviation, Covid-19 has resulted in flight restrictions, passenger restrictions, and restrictions on activities at airports, therefore PT Gapura Angkasa as a ground handling company was forced to limit the work of ground staff officers. Broadly speaking, this study aims to determine the impact of Covid-19 on work restrictions and the impact of the work restrictions on-ground staff, especially in the passenger and baggage handling units. This type of research is qualitative and carried out at Adi Sumarmo International Airport, Boyolali. Sources of data from this study are primary data obtained from interviews and observations, and secondary data obtained from the documentation. The results of the analysis of the impact of Covid-19 on the restrictions on the ground staff of the passenger and baggage handling unit showed that there was a change in the number of passing ground staff and the work schedule of ground staff. Then from the analysis of the impact of work restrictions for ground staff, it has a positive impact as well as a negative impact. Such a positive effect is that an ground staff cannot easily be infected with the Covid-19 virus, while for the negative effect there is no work shift and requires an ground staff to be able to do all kinds of things (multitasking).
