ABSTRACT EVALUATION OF THE IMPLEMENTATION OF A SAFETY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM ON HUMAN RESOURCES UNIT SAFETY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM IN LOMBOK INTERNATIONAL AIRPORT By : Maulana Aldiyan 1409057 Safety aspect are the main priority that must be prioritized for the ongoing activities of air transportation in Indonesia, especially Lombok International Airport in West Nusa Tenggara wich has experienced an increase in the number of air transport users. The safety management system can be applied as a safety standard to prevent and reduce accident risk factors associated with an increase in the number of air transport users in the province of West Nusa Tenggara . This study aims to see how to evaluate the implementation of safety management system at Lombok International Airport. The evaluation was conducted in connection with the increase in the number of air transport users in the province of West Nusa Tenggara, making it possible to increase the risk of aviation accidents. This research is a qualitative research. The study began by searching the database by reading documents and manuals related to the safety management system. Furthermore, the study continued with observations and interviews with two resource persons who are employees of the safety management system unit at Lombok International Airport. The results show that Lombok International Airport has implemented a safety management system and is currently in the operation phase, but the implementation of a safety management system at Lombok International Airport has so far experienced some obstacles, especially in terms of human resources. The existence of obstacles that arise, of course, requires handling, one of which is by evaluating so that the implementation of the safety management system at Lombok International Airport can reach the desired level.
