Abstract | Intisari

Avsec officers are now at the forefront of aviation security and safety, inspection of passenger luggage and other illegal matters must be handled seriously. Recently, with the latest government regulations through a powerbank circular, it is expected that events such as the explosion of Powerbank in China will no longer occur because there are already special rules in handling them. The Avsec unit is the main unit responsible for providing security and safety to airport service users regarding matters relating to flight activities at the airport. The purpose of this study was to describe Powerbank handling of passengers at Yogyakarta Adisutjipto International Airport. This research is a qualitative research and the data used are primary data and secondary data obtained by conducting interviews, observation, SOP, internet or journals as needed support. The results of this study indicate that inspection equipment in Avsec units such as X-Ray, Metaldetector, PAS, Powerbank Instructions Table, is very important in powerbank inspection of passengers, other than that based on the stipulated provisions, the amount of power the bank is allowed to take to the aircraft is the maximum capacity of 20,000 milliamps hour (mAh) or no more than 100 watts per hour with a 5 volt voltage. If the passenger carries Powerbank with more power than that, it must report it to the officer to get approval. Passengers are also not permitted to charge their electronic equipment with Powerbank when they are on their way. The rule was made to respond to the Powerbank event exploded in a flight in China recently. Although there have been no similar incidents in Indonesia, the circular is expected to prevent the same thing and keep commercial flight activities safe.
