ABSTRACT The Analysis of Service Improvements Passengger Terminal Building Airport Sentani Jayapura. Liyana Aksamina Robeka Naraha1 . Kifni Yudianto, S.E., M.M2 As the main gateway in Papua, the role of Sentani Airport is so strategic for economic development and mobility. In transporting cargo, on average the amount of cargo that arrives is only 10% while those departing are 90% of the total airport cargo transportation. This shows that cargo that comes more using land and sea transportation. Then Sentani Airport becomes the center that distributes it to the surrounding areas. Sentani Airport traffic data showed a fairly good improvement. In 5 years the number of aircraft increased by 1.04%, from 50,225 movements to 50,753 movements. But there is a decrease in the amount of cargo transportation from 2013 to 2017. This is due to the increase in road infrastructure, so that cargo transportation has switched to land transportation. There are many things that need to be considered so that the quality of service can be improved. This study aims to determine the strategy to improve the service of the passenger terminal building at Sentani Airport in Jayapura. This research is descriptive qualitative research. Data collection was carried out by field observations, interviews with Sentani Airport managers and document study. The data analysis technique used is data reduction which makes the data more concise then the presentation of data and draws conclusions from data collection The results of this study indicate that the improvement of services to flight service users is preceded by the development of Sentani Airport which will be implemented in 2019. In addition, efforts are made to develop human resource capacity and implement technical strategies by analyzing strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats (SWOT) so as to obtain a more dynamic and flexible increase in servants.
